How to do


  1. Breathe through the nose throughout
  2. Keep the mouth shut at all times
  3. Constrict throat during both inhalation and exhalation
    to produce the sound of the ocean or hissing
  4. The constriction of the laryngeal muscles near the vocal cord should produce the desired sound
  5. The breathing will thus naturally and inevitably be very slow
  6. Breathing to be via diaphragm or belly as far as possible


  1. Sit comfortably with the spine straight
  2. Exhale fully before starting
  3. Inhale for as long as comfortably possible
  4. Exhale for as long as comfortably possible
  5. Continue for a few minutes
